Competition Results and Team Strength Information

All results are to be submitted via the Signuptoplay.com website. There are no files to download, no paper to fill out, nothing to email, you can update it continuously! There is also no need to call or email us and ask if "we got it", if you see it on the screen it's there!

Deadlines
There are TWO times that results are important for this event. The first time results are needed are on the entry deadline date of 3:00pm (EST)  Tuesday, February 8, 2005. The results entered by that date will be used to determine acceptance into the Open divisions of the Qualifier by the National Championship Committee if that Open division is over subscribed. All teams wishing to gain acceptance into an Open Division at the  must have submitt results by the entry deadline date. If your team has no results, you should fill out the "Other Seeding" information section which has a place for you to submit a narrative.

Teams entering in a Club Division of the Qualifier do not need to meet the FIRST deadline for submitting results. All Club Division entries will be based on Date/Time of Receipt of Entry.

The second time the results are needed is for the seeding of the tournament. Seeding for the Qualifier will begin approximately 3 weeks prior to the event. All teams in All Divisions must have results submitted by 3:00pm (EST) Wednesday, March 2, 2005.

Procedures
Results will be submitted on the Signuptoplay.com website. Results can be entered manually on the website, or may be imported.

Results entered into the Signuptoplay.com website are not tournament specific. This means that as you enter results, they will be used by all events which are using the Signuptoplay website for their tournament registration. This is a huge time saver!

Steps for Manual Entry of results:

  1. Go to www.signuptoplay.com
  2. Sign into your club information with your club password.
  3. Select "TEAMS" from the side-bar menu.
  4. Click on a team you want to enter results for.
  5. Click on the "RESULTS" button at the top of the page.
  6. Click on the "ADD MATCH" button at the top of the page.
  7. Fill in all the boxes on that page.
  8. Click on "SAVE".
  9. To add more results repeat the process starting with "ADD MATCH".
  10. You also need to fill out the section labled "OTHER SEEDING".
  11. When you are done entering results select "CLOSE", exit the results page, and exit the team page by clicking on "RETURN TO LIST". (There is no need to click on "SAVE" on the team page.)
  12. Repeat this process for each team.

You may delete a result by double clicking on it and selecting "DELETE". You may delete all results for a team by selecting "DELETE ALL". Once you delete any or all results, they cannot be recovered, so be sure you really want to do it.

Steps for Importing results:

  1. Go to www.signuptoplay.com
  2. Sign into your club information with your club password.
  3. Select "TEAMS" from the side-bar menu.
  4. Click on a team you want to enter results for.
  5. Click on the "RESULTS" button at the top of the page.
  6. Click on the "IMPORT" button at the top of the page. Read all the information on that page before proceeding.
  7. Click on the "IMPORT INSTRUCTIONS" button at the top of the page, read and follow the instructions. If you do not understand what is on that page do not attempt to import your data. Please do not call us for help, as we are not technical experts on your computer system and we will be unable to advise you.
  8. When you are done importing your results select "CLOSE", exit the results page, and exit the team page by clicking on "RETURN TO LIST". (There is no need to click on "SAVE" on the team page.)
  9. Repeat this process for each team.

Some rules to remember about importing results:

  • The file you import must be a comma delimited file either saved from Excel as a ".csv" file or created from scratch as a comma delimited text file.
  • Each team's results must be in an independent file. You cannot have multiple team's results in one file
  • You may delete a result by double clicking on it and selecting "DELETE". You may delete all results for a team by selecting "DELETE ALL". Once you delete any or all results, they cannot be recovered, so be sure you really want to do it.

No Faxed, Mailed, Emailed Forms
Forms (or files) which are faxed, mailed, emailed, dropped off, phoned in, Fed Ex'd, delivered by Pony Express, sent by courier pigeon, or arrive at our office by any other means will not be accepted. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and help in keeping our sanity.
