Opening Ceremonies: For all teams will be held on Tuesday, June 14th at the Cracker Jack Stadium, home of the Altanta Braves Spring Training, at Disney’s Wide World of Sports at 7:00 pm. All teams must check in and assemble for introductions no later than 6:15 pm.
MANDATORY: Our ENTIRE club will be going to opening ceremonies as a club. We have a huge Tampa Bay banner that we will carry and even fan flags for the parents in the stands. Teams are to be dressed complete in their warm-ups (black short sleeve jersey underneath), warm up pants neatly zipped up -- no walking on pants. All coaches should be wearing a Tampa Bay coaching shirt along with black or khaki pants -- no jeans please.
Team Gift Exchanges: Each year at the AAU tournament teams exchange gift between players and coaches prior to the start of each match. We encourage you to select a gift as a team that represents Florida or Tampa. Mini-beach balls are popular as well as flip-flop key chains. Some cute ideas can be found by visiting www.orientaltrading.com and the prices are fairly inexpensive. Each team will play approximately 12 matches and teams are allowed to roster 14 athletes per team and 4 coaches. This IS NOT mandatory, it is just a friendly custom.
College Recruiting Seminar: Two sessions will be offered for any interested players and parents to hear an open forum Q & A from NCAA Division I & II coaches, Mary Wise (University of florida), Chris Catanach (University of Tampa) and Scott Luster (Bradley University). Team Check-in & Registration: FOR 12B, 13P, 13B, 14B -- Monday, June 13th FOR 15B, 16B, 17B, 18B -- Tuesday, June 14th All teams will be checked in at the same time by the office on Monday, from 8:00 am to 10:00 am. Coaches will need to coordinate with the directors to get their packets prior to play. Teams and coaches will need their credentials to be able to enter the competition sites.
Dates of Competition: FOR 12B, 13P, 13B, 14B -- Tuesday, June 14th thru Friday, June 17th FOR 15B, 16B, 17B, 18B -- Wednesday, June 15th thru Saturday, June 18th
Competition Sites: Disney’s Wide World of Sports (the Milk House) and the Orange County Convention Center (North Hall B). Parking is Free at the Disney complex, but there is a dialy charge at the Orange County Convention Center.
Coaches’ Meeting: A MANDATORY meeting is scheduled at Disney’s Wide World of Sports complex. For 12’s-14’s on Monday June 13th at 7:00 pm and for 15’s-18’s on Tuesday, June 14th immediately after opening ceremonies (approximately 8:00 pm).
Chaperone’s Meeting: The chaperones meeting is scheduled at Disney’s Wide World of Sports complex. For 12’s-14’s on Monday June 13th from 6:00-6:30 pm and for 15’s-18’s on Tuesday, June 14th from 5:30-6:00 pm.
Spectators Tickets: Daily tickets will be available for $10.75 for adults and $8.00 for children ages 3-9. A pass for the length of the event at all venues, as well as Opening Ceremonies can be purchased for $35 for adults and $25.00 for children ages 3-9.

The rate is $119 for a king bedded suite with a sofa pull-out and $139 for a Double/Double suite with a sofa pull-out plus applicable tax.Deadline to book is May 31st.
12 & Under parents -- you have a suite booked ALREADY (for check in on the Mon. the 13th and check out on the Fri. the 17th), but you must email Melaney and confirm your need for the suite no later than Friday, May 20th. At that time, all unclaimed suites will be returned to the hotel for resale.
