As one of the top coaches in high school and club volleyball history, Randy Dagostino has been a major catalyst in developing Tampa into one of the most competitive volleyball areas in the country. He has been the varsity coach at Berkeley Preparatory School for the last 24 years where he has won 12 state championship titles and has a current competition record of 701-150. With Randy at the helm, Berkeley has produced 10 All-Americans. Randy is the founding director of Tampa Bay Juniors (1984) and has coached 6 Open Division teams to top three finishes at the USAV Junior National Championships, and 2 Club Division teams to top 2 finishes, including the 2004 16 Black Gold Medal team. He has trained 15 USAV & AAU All-Tournament team members. Randy has been involved in the Florida Region serving as it’s first Jr Coordinator and representative to the USAV Jr Olympic Volleyball Division. He is a member of the Florida region Hall of Fame and has been the Florida Region coach of the Year. Randy is a former member of the Volleyball Advisory Committee for the FHSAA. His coaching accolades include: 1992 Florida Coach of the Year, 1995 Florida Coach of the Year Runner-up, 8 time FACA Coach of the Year, Inaugural Mizuno National All-Star Coach of the Year. Randy has a BS in Physical Education from University of Illinois at Chicago and is a CAP I certified coach. This season, we will have Tim Harris serving as the Division Director for the 12’s-14’s. Having a director assigned to these age divisions will aid in the development and ensure consistent teaching methods, position development and overall success of these young players and teams.
