Randy Dagostino - Dir. of Coaching - 16 Black

   Randy is the founding director of Tampa Bay Juniors (1984) and has coached 6 Open Division teams to top three finishes at the USAV Junior National Championships, and 2 Club Division teams to top 2 finishes, including the 2004 16 Black Gold Medal team.
   As one of the top coaches in high school and club volleyball history, he has been a major catalyst in developing Tampa into one of the most competitive volleyball areas in the country. Randy has been the varsity coach at Berkeley Preparatory School for the last 25 years where he has won 12 state championship titles and has a current competition record of 701-150. With Randy at the helm, Berkeley has produced 10 All-Americans.
   Randy has been involved in the Florida Region serving as it’s first Jr Coordinator and representative to the USAV Jr Olympic Volleyball Division.  He is a member of the Florida Region Hall of Fame and has been the Florida Region coach of the Year. Randy is a former member of the Volleyball Advisory Committee for the FHSAA. His coaching accolades include: 1992 Florida Coach of the Year, 1995 Florida Coach of the Year Runner-up, 8 time FACA Coach of the Year, Inaugural Mizuno National All-Star Coach of the Year. Randy has a BS in Physical Education from University of Illinois at Chicago and is a CAP I certified coach. In 2008 he was inducted into the FHSAA Hall of Fame.

John Coup - 17 Black

   John has been with Tampa Bay Juniors since Year Started at Tampa Bay Juniors 1990. He was named the Florida Region15-16 Age Division Coach of the Year in 2006. John was alos the head coach for the 2007 Tampa Bay 15 and Under National Club Champions and has 3 other top 5 finished in USJO’s and AAU’s. When asked why he coaches, John responds to assist in the development of players as not only volleyball players but as individuals; To give players the ability to learn and to use these in everyday life situations; To share the love of the game that I have. John is also an Assistant Coach at Berkeley Preparatory School on the varsity team

Jason Bouchard - 17 Black

   Jason played at Johnson & Wales Univ. from 2000-2002 as an outside hitter. He coached at St. Petersburg Catholic as an Asst. Varsity Coach and at the Academy of Holy Names as an Asst Varsity Coach and JV Coach. Jason in in his second with Tampa Bay Juniors.

Michelle Collier - 16 Black

   Michelle first coached for Tampa Bay Juniors from 1999-2001 and then returned when she accepted a job as the assistant coach for the University of South Florida in 2008.  A former player for Bull, she is arguably USF’s most dominant team sport athlete ever. Collier was named the Conference USA Player of the Decade in 2004. As one of the nation’s most feared outside hitters, she guided the Bulls to a 120-48 record during her tenure, as well as three NCAA tournament appearances, two C-USA titles, and one C-USA tournament title. She was the first C-USA player to be named an All-American following her senior season of 2002, two-time Conference Player of the Year, and the Conference Freshman of the Year in 1998.
   Following her graduation, her professional career took her across the globe, playing in Holland, Puerto Rico, Cyprus, Indonesia, and Spain over a four-year career, winning numerous accolades including the Indonesian League MVP and the Best Foreign Player in Cyprus.
   Michelle’s name remains most prevalent in the USF record book as well, holding the Bulls records for both career kills (2,729) and digs (1,747), the season records for kills (760 in 2000), attacks (1,873 in 2000), and kills per game (6.28 in 2000), and sits in the Top 10 in numerous other categories. Her 2,729 career kills places her 5th in NCAA Division I history.

Rafael Silva - Boys Director - 15 Black (boys)

   Rafael has been playing volleyball for over 15 years. He has played professionally in Brazil and in Europe as an outside and right side hitter from 2000-2007. In Brazil he has won 3 national championships and competed with the Junior National team at different international competitions. While playing professionally in Spain, Rafael was ranked in the league’s top 10 for points and kills for all the 4 four he played there.This will be his second season with the Tampa Bay Invaders

Doug Chinchar - 14’s

   Doug played for the 1st Boys Youth National Team - Colorado Springs (1987). He Graduated from The Ohio State University. While there he acquired the following honors; 1989 Olympic Festival Gold Medalist; 1989 Named 'Volleyball Monthly's' Freshman Find. He started his coaching career at Brescia University(Ky) has coached in HS, Club, NAIA, and Division I for many years. Doug is married To Sarah Chinchar and has 2 beautiful Daughters (Naomi and Lydia)

Sarah Chinchar - 14’s

   Sarah is a graduate and former player at the University of South Florida. She was named Conference USA Setter of the Year (1997) and holds 3 All Time NCAA Volleyball records (Total Assists, Assists per game, and consecutive points served) Sarah has coached at HS, Club, and Division I levels for quite a few years and is married To Douglas Chinchar with 2 beautiful Daughters (Naomi and Lydia).

Christine Gladysz - 16 Black

   Christine is a former Tampa Bay Junior and four year starter at Washington and Lee.  She earned All-American status three consecutive years as a setter. As well as coaching with Tampa Bay Juniors, Christine has coached in Virginia. We are excited to have another alum back in the coaching ranks.

Diego Serpa - Invaders 15 Black (boys)

   Diego if from Fortaleza, Brazil and has been playing volleyball since 1994. He started playing professionally at the age 16 and has played for many different clubs in Brazil as an outside hitter. Diego was part of 2 national championship teams and was elected the best player 2 years in a row. In 1997 he was selected to the Junior National B team and played internationally. Diego has played 2 years of professional beach volleyball, and one year of indoor volleyball in Spain.

Brittany Castalemare - 13 Black

   Brittany is a junior setter at USF. She is second in assists with 477 and after just two seasons, is just 107 assists shy of the 1,000 mark ... Brittany has had 90 digs on the season for a 1.14 per game average, fifth most on the team and has 15 service aces on the season. She attended River Ridge High School.

Marcela Gurgel - 13 Black

   Marcela is from Fortaleza, Ceara, Brazil. She played for BNB Club in Fortaleza, Ceara, Brazil, from 2001-05 and was five-time most valuable player leading the team to the national championship in 2003 and to a third-place finish in 2002 and 2004. ShepPlayed for Brazil Junior National Team in 2003 and 2004. She is a junior, outside hitter at USF. Marcela is one of three to start in all 29 matches and see action in all 108 games last season at USF. She was named First Team All-BIG EAST for second consecutive season, is a member of the AVCA All-Region team and acquired an honorable mention for the All-America team.

Christen Garcia - 15 Black

Christen is from Valrico, Florida. She played volleyball as a setter and defensive specialist for Durant High School where she lead her team to three State Championships in 1999, 2000, and 2002.  She attended Georgia State University as a 4-year starting libero where she currently holds the record for career digs and the most digs in a 5-game match. Upon graduation, Christen was hired as the assistant coach for her alma mater before taking a job as Director of Volleyball Operations at Illinois State University.  Christen has experience in coaching at the University of Tampa, Georgia Tech, and Emory volleyball camps. Christen is a former Tampa Bay Junior.and is the daughter of long time Tampa Bay Junior coach, Jeff Davis.

Sara Brito - 14’s

   Sara is from Fortaleza, Brazil. She has been playing volleyball as a setter since 1994.  She played college at Clarendon College, Texas, in 2003, and at the University of West Florida, between 2004-2005. She has experience with volleyball camps and clinics as well.

Sheri Cooper - 15 Purple

   Sheri is from Lakeland, Florida. She played college volleyball at Appalachian State Universtiy, ’92-’96. There she was the Southern Conference MVP in ’95 and All American Strength and Conditioning Athlete of the Year in ’94. She was the first female athlete to receive this award for Appalachian State. She continues to play competitive beach volleyball, traveling to play the AVP, East End and Pro Beach East tours. She holds her personal training certification which has allowed her to work with athletes and their training/nutrition. She has coached high school varsity volleyball for Wharton High School and club for Tampa Bay Juniors, She has also worked with other programs such as Berkeley Prep(97 State Champs) and George Jenkins High School.
